Microchanneling and Stem Cells

May 16, 2024

First, be aware that skin care products that have the word "Stem Cell" in their name or description do not actually contain stem cells. Stem cells cannot survive outside the body unless frozen in liquid nitrogen. What these types of products do contain are proteins that stem cells produce. These proteins are called cytokines. (The term "Stem Cells" is just a consumer-friendly way to market what you are about to read) ...

Cytokines are a family of proteins produced by our immune system. They heal our injuries and fight disease. (The family of cytokines includes growth factors, peptides & exosomes).

And here is how Procell gets ours:

There was an initial draw of bone marrow from genetically & health screened athletes at the university where Drs Sanderson & Taylor were on staff in California (UC Irvine). The adult donors gave consent and were compensated for their bone marrow).

The Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells (Adult Stem Cells) were isolated via centrifuge, and the bone marrow discarded.

The Stem Cells of one of the anonymous cadre of donors were then set up in a culture and survive to this day, meaning they can now be maintained in a cultured medium in the lab.

The cultured medium is stimulated when distressed human skin and fibroblasts are placed in the culture to produce the full spectrum of cytokines related to tissue repair in the skin.

The cytokines are separated from the conditioned medium and filtered in a process purifying them of any other material, (including the removal of all cellular material, DNA, blood, or any other possible "cooties").

The Livra products contain a broad spectrum of cytokines that support rejuvenation throughout the wound healing cascade induced by microchanneling: from fibroblast stimulation & proliferation to collagen production, to cell division, proliferation, neo-vascularization and importantly, matrix & tissue inhibiting cytokines that "turn off" the wound healing cascade at the right time. So, they are both effective and safe.

The products are produced in an FDA compliant manufacturing facility and have been on the market in one form or another for over a decade with a spotless safety profile.
